This new version of Call of Duty made by the original designer Infinity Ward. This is a big stepafter “fake” Call of Duty 3 which been made by Treyarch and released only for game consoles. Call of Duty 4 or as the official name of it Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare can be bought almost in any computer store around the globe. Further more creators sell it in three version for PC,Xbox 360 and PS3. According to the Infinity Ward the whole war scene is on present days events which means players receive arsenal of the latest weapons. On top of everything said above game will havelatest graphic special effects which will make this game more enjoyable and outstanding.

The most important ad of all technology news today is that Microsoft corporation showed new Windows 7 to public.

First who can tryout new OS guests of the Microsoft developers conference. According to the Microsoft’s plan new version of Windows will replace Vista in 2010 but beta version will come out in 2009.

Microsoft reassures that new Windows has better and stronger security system. Also new Windows has improvements in menu navigation, control panel and start.

Overall structural basics are the same as they were in Windows Vista. This should remove upgrade issues from Windows Vista and XP to new Windows 7. Also by keeping same structure developers eliminated issues with software and hardware compatibilities.

Further more Microsoft said the they tried to simplified user interface and home network setup wizard. Windows 7 will be more simple and user friendly to avoid connecting issues with any peripheral devices. We hope that new Windows does not have hardware and software issues as Microsoft says otherwise it will be another crash for giant software developer.

One of the major competitions for the Apple iPhone is RIM which created well known today blackberry devices.

One of the new iPhone killers been announced couple month ago in Canada. Blackberry Storm created to overcome iPhone almost in every way. It works on CDMA format and will be selling by such global companies as Vodafone and Verizon.

This device has 3.25 inch touch screen with 480×320 resolution. Display can show up to 65k colors. Also friendly interface allows you to rotate every icon on the screen in any direction. Phone does not have a keyboard but it supports ClickThrough technology, which creates illusion that you work with real keyboard by adding clicking sound to every of your keyboard touch.

Main disappointment in this mobile device is absents of Wi-Fi, but it does have a Bluetooth technology. Furthermore Blackberry Storm has integrated GPS module. On top of everything phone has 1gb integrated memory and microSD slot that supports up to 16 Gb cards.

Core i7 release date

On November 17, 2008 Intel will announce release dates and prices for the new Core i7 chipsets. Announcement will be taking place at the San-Francisco conference and we already now some of the information.

The wholesale price for Core i7-920 2.66 GHz will be $284, Core i7-940 - $562 and top model Core i7 Extreme 965 3.2 GHz priced around $999. For single consumers price will be much higher then that. According tot he tests even the lowest version of Core i7 920 2.66 gHZ is much faster then Core 2 Quad Q9650. Lets wait and see for ourselves how these CPUs will change our speeds.

Core 2 Extreme X9000

Core 2 Extreme X9000 was announced on CES 2008. This is extreme version of mobile processors. Core 2 Extreme will be released in the end of February and new laptops based on this processor will come out in March.

New dual core cpu from Intel is built on 45 nm technology and has 6 Mb of cache memory. Also it will have 800 Mhz FSB speed and total speed is equal to 2.8 GHz. This will allow many users to move from desktops to the notebooks and would not see the difference in performance.

The main disadvantage of this new technology is the price - $800 per each unit. This price does not allow average computer users to buy Core 2 Extreme X9000.

eBay changed rules of online auctions

According to the technology news eBay will change the rules of the online auctions.

The changes will affect eBay site on February 20, 2008. From that day seller would not be able to give rating marks to the buyer. On other hand buyer will have ability to give feed back to the seller in wide range of stats. Depends on these stats seller will move along the seller’s rating/search list.

Also eBay will decrease the price for the product posting by 20-25%. Further more sellers with high rating will receive some discounts. They plan to implement this new technology very soon. All of this changes should increase the eBay’s profit and increase the quality of the service and products which sells on eBay.

IBM may buy AMD

IBM may buy Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is the current technology news.

According to the message from AMD and IBM both companies may create a union in creation of polymer devices on the market. Many technology news sites say that these companies are working close together to create competition for Intel.

Also according to new technology, IBM may buy AMD in first quarter of 2008. This announcement affected AMD stocks which raised by 10% in one day. Total losses for AMD in past year was 3.38 billion dollars.

New motherboard from Intel – Intel D5400XS

Several months ago Intel showed new dual processor motherboard Skulltrail, but when they released the motherboard it looks different.

First difference is that instead of the regular sinks on the South and North Bridges, which are NVIDIA nForce 100 MCP SLI chipsets, Intel placed cooler. Also according to the picture we can see that motherboard has four PCI Express x16 slots and two PCI. This motherboard has two Socket LGA 771 which can be used for couple of Xeon processors or two Quad Cores with 45 nm technology.

Motorola introduced new smartphone called MOTO Z10.

MOTO Z10 supports 3.5G networks and works under four different standards - SM, GPRS/EDGE, UMTS 1200 and HSDPA. The main feature of this model is 3.2 mega pixel camera that has ability to create video files with 30 frames per second. I think company tries to create portable video studio out of this phone, because they also installed video editing software.

Overall phone operates under Symbian UIQ and has expansion slot for SD cards which can support up to 32 GB. Design of this model remind us older version Z8 which has a bit bended forms and “kick-slider” form factor.
